FAQ
Are your appointments in-person or online?
To provide focused, expert care to patients across both Utah and Idaho, our practice is fully online. This telehealth model allows us to offer convenient, private consultations that fit your schedule, without the need for travel or waiting rooms. You get direct access to your provider from the comfort of your home.
How do the online appointments work? Is my information secure?
Your privacy is our top priority. We use a state-of-the-art, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform for all our patient interactions. Once you schedule your visit, you will receive a secure email with a private link and simple instructions. All of your medical records are stored securely on this platform, and you will have 24/7 access to them through your personal patient portal.
What are the costs, and how is billing handled?
We believe in full transparency with our pricing. TRT care can be paid for two separate ways, an evaluation and prescription-fee option or an annual-care program, and both are explained on our TRT pricing page. Testosterone medication is purchased separately.
We are a self-pay clinic and do not accept insurance, HSA or FSA. Any cost that applies to you is disclosed before you pay.
What kind of tests do you perform?
New patients complete bloodwork before the first live video visit. For men, the HBC Male HRT panel includes total testosterone, estradiol, hemoglobin and hematocrit, PSA, creatinine and eGFR, and GGT.
Additional testing depends on your history and findings, including a repeat morning testosterone test when it is needed to establish the diagnosis. If you are transferring TRT care, your existing labs are reviewed.
Who do I contact if I have questions?
We are here to help! For any questions about becoming a new patient or about our services, please call or text our team at 385-361-8549. Existing patients can communicate directly and securely with their provider through the patient portal.
How long are the appointments?
Your first live video visit happens after your intake and bloodwork, and it includes time for your questions. Your clinician reviews your results, discusses risks and benefits and builds an individualized plan.
Follow-up is individualized. Patients starting TRT may need earlier check-ins, while established patients on a stable dose generally get an asynchronous follow-up within about six months.
What makes your approach different from other clinics?
We evaluate your symptoms, your health history and your test results together, rather than making decisions from a symptom list or a single lab number. Visits leave time for your questions, pricing is disclosed before you pay, and treatment comes with ongoing monitoring.
Clinicians make all diagnosis, prescribing and treatment decisions, and an evaluation does not guarantee a prescription.
What are your clinic hours?
We understand that you have a busy schedule. To better serve working professionals and parents, our clinic operates exclusively during evening hours. We are open for online consultations Monday through Friday, with appointments typically available between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM Mountain Time.
